I was so happy to participate in not one but TWO Etsy: Made in Canada events this year. Joe was in Hamilton with Makeology and I was in Toronto with the 416Hustlers Team. I also got to run a one hour workshop making Wood Robots with a group of enthusiastic kids and parents. We've been working on some exciting new programming for kids and adults that require zero previous experience/woodworking knowledge. We think it's so important to get kids interested in doing things for themselves, and woodworking is not just a technical skill-set with tools and materials, but a lesson in problem solving, patience and creativity. We are always so excited to see what wacky robots come out of these workshops and there were some amazing little dudes created at this one.

We are so excited for our next show. We will be at the Blossom and Bloom Show on May 6 & 7. Click here to go to the event page and see all the great vendors that will be participating.
Blossom and Bloom is a open-concept market showcasing local creative businesses, floral-focused designers, artists and musicians in a single event. A curated public style event that welcomes visitors of all interests and backgrounds to explore the creative work of our local makers.
Our 2016 market celebrates the Mother's Day week with over 35 vendors for each show date. Art installations, live music, craft workshops and creative interventions will take place in our event space. We urge you to come by our market to support local small businesses and meet with the variety of individuals who help drive our creative culture.
Our idea of blossom and bloom is to share a communal platform to help flourish our creative culture with all things elegant, fine crafted, and unique.

65 Front Street West,
I have posted a few of these on our Etsy shop right now, the one above was my prototype and I fell in love with it. It's great to get to do something brand new once in a while and experiment with things I otherwise wouldn't have a chance to work on. It felt great to finish it and the response has been incredible and uplifting.
As one of the first things you see when you walk into a home, a good staircase can have an incredible impact. We have a pinterest board dedicated to all things staircase. Looking at them makes me happy. I flip flop between minimal modern and chic traditiona. I think in the end, the success of the stairwell depends on its harmony with the space it inhabits.
