Dayna and I surprised our parents and grandparents with our wedding on Saturday.
We hatched our plot (surprise we're engaged!) and had the pleasure of planning a beautiful day that would make our mothers cry and fathers smile. It was a rare occasion to provide a treat for parents who go above and beyond.
After our small surprise ceremony (in their own backyard!), a limo ride across town took us to the very (good) restaurant wherein we cooked up our scheme. Dinner was heavenly. Toasts were made. Families were joined. It was a day I will treasure.
We apologize for keeping everyone in the dark for so long (believe me I was busting to blab) and thank everyone we couldn't invite for inevitably forgiving us. Dayna and I lost a lot of sleep questioning whether we were doing the right things (that might be every wedding) but people tell me its easier to ask forgiveness than get permission.
